The nursing staff crisis is a major issue of today – so what, therefore, can healthcare institutions do to make themselves more attractive to new and existing employees? This is the question due to be addressed by the symposium, “Warmly Welcome 2: Attracting, Motivating and Retaining Employees”, taking place on February 14th in Bad Honnef as a collaboration between IUBH and Planetree e.V. The symposium in particular at HR and management personnel from hospitals, rehabilitation clinics, nursing homes, and outpatient care facilities.
Loyalty with meaning: incentives for better employee satisfaction
Many healthcare facilities are struggling to maintain their values in the face of ever-increasing demands to reduce costs. Part of the issue is that doctors and nurses now have the choice of where they work and, if they are dissatisfied, often leave for a different facility or area of the healthcare sector. This, in turn, leads to higher costs for the system as a whole. The solution may lie in a more meaningful sense of connection between the employee and their role, offering the possibility of long-term retention of professionals. On February 14th, executives from German healthcare institutions, together with management consultants and experts in the international Planetree concept, will discuss how best to make this sense of loyalty a part of everyday work.
