IUBH University of Applied Sciences has joined forces with Guestline, European leader of cloud-based hospitality technology, to provide students with training on their Property Management System (PMS)*.
Students on the master´s program “International Hospitality Management” now get real-time access to and practical training on a hotel cloud PMS at university level as part of their curriculum. Delivered by Guestline's trainers each semester, the training program helps shape and enhance the student’s knowledge of operational and booking software that is commonplace in hotels for when they graduate and began their hotel careers.
“Our ultimate goal at IUBH is to provide our students with all knowledge necessary so that they are workplace-ready from the day of their graduation”, Prof. Dr. Gabriel Laeis, professor for Hospitality Management at IUBH commented. "Given that Guestline PMS is widely used by hotels globally, students will immediately be able to put their training and experience into practice when they enter the workplace. Many of our students go abroad on placements, so it is imperative that they be trained on a system that is familiar and recognised in different market places too.”

Additionally, Best Western Hotel Group Central Europe (who Guestline integrate with) are also working with the university to provide practical professional experience in the Group’s Central European hotels of the BW Hotel.
