A stellar performance: IUBH University of Applied Sciences has achieved top results in the latest evaluation from CHE, Germany's largest university ranking body. In the Business Administration/Management field, IUBH placed No. 1 in the categories "Contact with Lecturers", "General Study Conditions" and "Practical Orientation", amongst others. Winning a total of six out of 25 categories, IUBH achieved more top category rankings than any of the more than 300 institutions assessed.
"It’s a fantastic result," says Prof. Dr. Peter Thuy, Rector of IUBH. "Our focus on practical orientation and individualised support for our students forms a core element of our philosophy. This impressive performance confirms our conviction that it is not a contradiction to remain oriented towards theoretical knowledge and practical relevance alike."
In addition, IUBH emerged as the best German university for the Dual Studies programme in Social Work, where it topped the categories "General Study Conditions", "Contact with Lecturers", "Examinations", "Study Organisation", "Support during Studies" and "Practical Orientation".
With approximately 120,000 students surveyed and including more than 300 universities and universities of applied sciences, as well as dual universities and vocational academies, the CHE ranking is the most comprehensive and detailed university comparison system in the German-speaking world. It has been conducted by the Centre for University Development since 1998 and been published in association with the weekly newspaper Die Zeit since 2005. The primary goal is to inform freshmen and university changers about the study opportunities and conditions in the respective fields of study. Every subject is reassessed every three years.
